However, the other soldiers fade into the background as we focus on Dean and Will, who seem to be in their own little world. Neither of them talks much, since they're supposed to be working, but they send each other glances. They both seem to be secretly lusting after each other, although Dean is more obvious about it than Will. Just like on the trail, Dean is fixated by Will's muscles and strength. Although they start off working se! parately, eventually they work together, handing objects off to each ot! her. He's starting to realize that Dean is hiding something. That night, Will is reading in his cot when Dean silently returns to the barracks. The atmosphere is awkward as Dean starts to pack his duffel to be ready to leave first thing in the morning. Will presses his book against his chest and ! waits for Dean to say something.
